Well, I'm finally starting to make art again! Tonight I started a piece that I'll be putting in a silent auction to raise money for the organization Donate A Smile... It's going to be watercolor and colored pencil, and I'm done with the watercolor part! I've lost my small watercolor brushes, so the detail will be added with colored pencil. The proportions in the photo are a little off... I took it with my webcam, so the picture isn't very good quality. The painting is a bit wider than this photo shows. It needs a lot more detail, but I'm happy with the colors so far.

I cried when I saw that circlet on your head as you walked down the aisle. I could not have been happier on that day. I leaned over and whispered to Uncle Joel, "Best 200 dollars I have ever spent." So, as much as I am looking forward to my picture of Little Point Sable (and I am!), do not feel the need to rush. I have already been well rewarded for the money I gave you. You were radiant, and I got to be a part of that. Joy!

It's been a while since I've been able to do any serious artwork, so it'll be another win-win situation, just like the circlet!
DeleteI would totally put this in my kitchen. I miss art. Also... I am having a hard time figuring out how to follow your blog! There is no "follow" feature on the side.
